Body and facial implants are a popular way of modifying the body to achieve your desired look. Why? Because let’s face it, certain areas can be challenging to sculpt, despite our best efforts with diet and exercise. Essentially, implants are a way to enhance your facial and body structure – helping you feel more comfortable in your appearance.
Picture stepping out into the world radiating confidence from the inside out. For many, body and facial implants in Washington DC are the key to unlocking that feeling!
Overview of Body and Facial Implants in Washington DC
Through strategic placements of medical silicone or fat deposits, we transform body contours in areas like the cheeks, chin, chests, butts, and calves. The results? Stunning definition and enhanced volume.
Body implants like on the calves gain bulk and definition, creating a balanced physique. And buttock implants sculpt fuller, rounder glutes. For men, pectoral implants make toned, muscular chests.
Facial features blossom with implants, too. You can reshape your nose and chin, define your jawline, or accentuate your cheekbones. Implants can even help you look younger by fixing the look of tired or sunken skin under the eyes.
Benefits of Body and Facial Implants
While facial implants subtly enhance contours for a refreshed look, body implants tackle stubborn areas, boosting muscle definition and fixing deformities. (These areas can be difficult to target through diet and exercise alone!)
Body and facial implants in Washington DC help enhance your overall body proportions – letting you showcase the physique you deserve!
Ideal Candidate for Body and Facial Implants
Good health and realistic expectations are crucial for implant candidates. For example, facial implants enhance existing features, not create new ones. They suit anyone with fully developed facial bones (including older adolescents with parental consent). And adults who haven’t achieved their desired muscle definition through exercise.
What to Expect
Before your procedure, our skilled surgeons will consult with you to discuss your preferences and medical background. They’ll review options, discuss potential risks, describe the surgery and recovery process, explain costs, and discuss the regulations set by the FDA for implants.
Expect your body or facial implants in Washington, DC, to take one to two hours (depending on the implant). These procedures require either general or local anesthesia. The sedation depends on the specific implant and whether other treatments are happening simultaneously.
Body Implants Process
During the procedure, our surgeons guide the implant through a small incision using a camera-equipped endoscope. After precise placement, they secure the implant (stitched or muscle-supported), and the subtle incision closes with sutures. For some patients, drain tubes temporarily remove excess fluid. Lastly, dressings cover the discreet incision.
Facial Implants Process
The facial implant procedure starts with a precise incision in the target area – cheek, chin, or jaw – allowing access to create a snug pocket for the implant. Once nestled in, the incision is gently stitched or secured with dissolving sutures for a discreet and comfortable recovery.
Recovery Overview
While most patients are ready to go home after the implant procedure, having someone drive you is crucial. Once the surgeon finishes, they apply dressings to minimize swelling. And any stitches will be removed or dissolved within a week or two.
There may be some discomfort during the initial days, but we’ll effectively address any pain using medication. Drains, if used, will be removed during your first post-operative visit. But You can gradually return to normal activities within a week or a few weeks.
Additional Implant Details
Our surgeons will provide important information about dietary and activity restrictions you should follow. For example, you may need to:
- Shield your implants from direct sunlight
- Avoid heavy lifting, straining, and exercise
- Refrain from driving until you are pain-free
Additionally, it’s important to note that body implants can create the appearance of added bulk, but they don’t actually increase muscle mass.
Cost of Body and Facial Implants in Washington DC
Because it is a cosmetic procedure, insurance will not pay for your body or facial implant surgery. The price will vary based on your choice, and the doctor will go over costs in detail during your consultation appointment.
FAQ
Here are some common questions we receive regarding body and facial implants in Washington DC:
1. What treatments other than implants provide the same results?
Although no procedure can completely mimic implants’ contouring and bulking effects, liposuction benefits patients by removing excess fat. Thus, enhancing definition in the treated area.
2. How can I get the look I am “going for”?
We encourage all patients to bring photos of the ideal look they’re trying to achieve. The doctor will review your expectations at your initial consultation and discuss options.
3. How long do the implants last?
Your silicone implants will be permanent (fat-based implants may need touchups). The procedure will necessitate a few months of swelling, but the results will be everlasting.
4. What are the risks?
Like any plastic surgery procedure, some side effects may include:
- Scarring
- Infection
- Numbness
- Implant shifting
- Muscle asymmetry changes
