RF Skin Resurfacing
RF Skin Resurfacing is a non-invasive device that treats wrinkles, acne scars, large pores, uneven texture, stretch marks, and pigment irregularities with non-fractional radio frequency (RF). RF Skin Resurfacing can address acne scars, enlarged pores, stretch marks, skin pigmentation problems, or rosacea. It is a safe and effective alternative to ablative fractional laser resurfacing procedures, and it enables patients to enjoy a much more relaxing service while still delivering considerable and long-lasting skin changes. In addition, this procedure has a quick recovery period and requires minimal downtime, so it won’t interfere with your active lifestyle.
Venus Viva is the industry’s most customized skin resurfacing technology. Powered by NanoFractional Radio Frequency with SmartScan technology, it is the first and only fractional RF system that permits operator control of ablation, coagulation, and resurfacing for improved efficacy in treating mild to severe skin damage. A handheld device delivers energy underneath the skin’s surface, heating the cells and stimulating the body’s natural collagen creation. Typically, three to four treatments are required to obtain the desired outcome.
RF Skin Resurfacing allows you to achieve the same results as C02 laser without the downtime and pain. It is effective for all skin types, including dark pigmented skin.
In addition, the results will be superior to superficial procedures such as chemical peels and microdermabrasion. At Peel Haus Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery in Washington, DC, we provide patients with cutting-edge technology that provides superior aesthetic outcomes with less discomfort and recovery time.
Venus Viva Can Treat:
RF Skin Resurfacing with Venus Viva is a fractional resurfacing system that utilizes NanoFractional Radio Frequency (RF) with SmartScanTM technology to deliver radiofrequency heat to the underlying skin layers in a safe manner. The resulting microscopic wounds and heating of the deeper skin layers stimulate the body’s natural healing process and generate more collagen and elastin. These minor wounds heal rapidly, and the resulting healing response assists in repairing skin damage. In addition to being significantly more comfortable than fractional laser resurfacing options, Viva Fractional RF treatments are safe for all skin types, particularly those with darker pigmentation. RF Skin Resurfacing clients can also anticipate observable and long-lasting results.
Safe for All Skin Types
This therapy is safe for all skin types since it focuses radiofrequency energy on the area meant to degrade existing collagen. The body then begins the healing process by replacing the damaged collagen with new collagen. The radiofrequency activates collagen-producing fibroblasts in the body. This healing process provides a smoother texture to the skin, minimizes acne scars and pigmentation, and fills in creases and wrinkles. The same procedure is applicable for ethnic and dark skin types.
Quick Treatment
To prepare your skin for this process, avoid applying lotions, sunscreen, perfume, powder, and makeup, and limit your sun exposure. If the skin has significant hair growth, it is advisable to shave prior. Depending on the size of the treatment area, a Venus Viva service typically lasts 15 to 30 minutes. The procedure causes pinprick-like sensations on the skin’s surface, which may be followed by a sunburn-like sensation.
Exceptionally Low Downtime
Venus Viva has a remarkably low downtime. As a result of the radiofrequency-induced microinvasion, patients can experience minor redness for up to 3 days. For the initial few days, simple skincare practices can help your skin heal faster. However, the majority of patients can return to their regular routine quickly, with few precautions, and can wear cosmetics after 24 hours.
Superior Results
The majority of individuals can observe improvements after a single session, but for optimal outcomes, three to four sessions are recommended every four to six weeks. This amount may vary based on the skin type and condition being treated.
If you have signs of skin damage, deep wrinkles, scarring, large, visible pores, stretch marks or imperfections in your skin’s texture, you are likely a good candidate for a Viva Fractional RF Resurfacing treatment.
You may not be a candidate for a Viva Fractional RF treatment if you have the following:
During the RF Skin Resurfacing treatment, you will feel tiny pinpricks followed by tiny zapping sensations on your skin. Your skin will feel warm, and you may experience a little discomfort, although patients seldom experience pain. Your provider can apply a topical anesthetic for more intensive procedures. After the treatment, your face will appear red and feel warm, as if you have a sunburn. A typical Viva Fractional RF treatment session lasts between 15 and 30 minutes.
The Venus Viva Fractional RF procedure requires minimal recovery time. Before resuming normal activities, the majority of patients need only 24 hours to recover. However, if you undergo a more aggressive treatment, you may require additional time to recuperate. After 24 hours, you may continue your normal skincare regimen, although avoiding any actives for up to a week and using sunscreen daily is strongly advised. For two days, patients should avoid high perspiration and hot showers.
Results are noticeable after just one treatment, however, a series of 3 to 4 treatments is optimal to achieve smoother, clearer, and tighter skin. After 6 to 12 months, when the new collagen is produced, the full effects of the treatment become more apparent.
